PathMinder optical turnstile technology is pretty darn cool. Our engineering & design staff is an innovative crew, constantly re-evaluating and solving the imperfections the industry takes for granted.
We offer several industry-first technologies, including:
- a matrix approach to optical detection; we use a large number of infrared beams at different heights and different angles, rather than using a few parallel beams
- barriers that use three complementary, redundant safety systems to keep personnel from being injured
We even think about the little things. For example, our sliding barriers line up. Sounds simple, eh? Surprisingly, most of our competitors settle for offset barriers (where, for example, the left barrier in a lane is closer to an approaching pedestrian than the right barrier in the same lane). Our products are typically installed in elegant, high-profile buildings where such strange looking compromises are undesirable.
